SAVI ANNOUNCES NEW MUSIC COMING
After a 3 year+ hiatus from SAVI music & feeling like I had nothing left to say as an individual artist I’m coming back this summer with some of my best music yet!
Having come into the dance music scene kind of backwards I somehow built a career that allowed me to tour years before I ever had my own music. Feeling pigeon holed as a DJ I badly wanted to be in the artist space & often found myself sacrificing everything to grow as such. Spending thousands of hours in sessions, learning the ins and outs of music marketing and everything in between I built serious momentum out the gate with my own music but then after years of grinding, finally getting an agent and a label deal it felt like overnight dance music just died in the US and it all fell apart just as it was getting started for me. I became deeply discouraged and felt insanely uninspired about my own music. I did however find that I still had a burning desire to create, hence the birth of AHZ.
After an additional 2.5 years of grinding it out on the road playing shows as SAVI to pay bills & spending all my time home in LA working with my band AHZ creating something truly unique we finally found a label, got signed to a top agent & booked a bunch of the best music festivals in the US just 3 weeks before COVID-19 hit and again it all came crumbling down.
The pandemic truly put my desire for music to a test but yet again I found myself swinging for the stars. I started a new project that I spent the entire pandemic developing and somehow out of nowhere the universe showed me that I still had things to say as an artist as well.
So this summer I am coming back with new music that I deeply believe in. There is still at least another chapter to my story left untold and I’m stoked to bring anyone along for the ride that wants to come. This new music is about second chances, finding our way back to ourselves, falling in love, embracing the present, not losing faith & living!
